Where is the DAG Allotment?
Adjacent to the Laigh Hills public park.
A question on the lips of all who wish to take on an allotment in Dunblane is, quite obviously, where is it? Well, to find the graphical location of the land in Google Maps it is just a case of typing Dunblane Allotment Group into their search bar . Other browser maps (Amazon/Microsoft) don't know us just yet. Google Maps will not only pinpoint where we are but it should also give you a reminder of our web address. However, now that you are here (within our web site) you can take a look below at the exact location since google maps is here too.
The allotment is at the end of a road called The Haining. It is also on the east side of the Faery Bridge which traverses the Allan Water from Auchinlay Road.
There is vehicular access to the allotment but this MUST be kept to a strict minimum. Drive with caution and 'sans vitesse' i.e. slowly :-). Please use the cathedral car park if accessing the allotment from the east of the Allan Water or street parking if approaching from the west of the river. If you have to transport heavy items to the allotment then, of course, approach the allotment in your vehicle with caution along The Haining. An alternative would be to nip to the allotment and retrieve a wheelbarrow and take it to your vehicle.
