PLOT INSPECTIONS
There are monthly plot inspections during the summer to review the state of the land under cultivation. This should come as no surprise to anyone since it is mentioned when new plot holders are welcomed to DAG and it is also documented in the literature that is issued when joining. The inspections are vital to ensure the integrity of each plot is maintained from the following perspectives
If the committee are not notified when a plot is unattended then they will assume the plot has been abandoned and will follow a formal three-stage procedure with the plot holder in an attempt to rectify the situation.
Please remember
- The plot is being worked/cultivated and has not been abandoned.
- Weed growth is not encroaching on adjacent plots.
- The plot does not pose any health and safety risks to the plot holder or other members of DAG.
- The plot is not being managed using chemicals inconsistent with the ethos of allotment tending.
- Cultivated plants are in keeping with the rules of DAG.
